Brain Burps About Books is the podcast by author/illustrator Katie Davis, and it's all about the business of children's books, publishing, creating, promoting, and writing them. Are you an aspiring writer who'd like to know the inside scoop on how others got their kid's book published? Or you're already published and want to hear how to make your book trailer viral? Maybe you're a teacher doing an author study or just a fan of kidlit and want to listen to booksellers, editors, authors and other experts in the field talk about the craft and business of children's literature. Author/illustrator Katie Davis is the host of this funny and informative show meant to help anyone with an interest in children's literature. Added bonuses: Take5 Marketing Tips by Dianne de Las Casas and exclusive reviews by major book bloggers/librarians Betsy Bird, Mary Ann Scheuer, Julie Falatko and Julie Hedlund (A Fuse #8 Production, Great Kid books, World of Julie, and Write Up My Life, respectively). Author/illustrator Katie Davis has published nine books for children and one for adults. She's all about kidlit: from her podcast Brain Burps About Books, a blog and newsletter to her monthly appearances on Good Morning Connecticut, recommending great kid’s books. Her book trailers have been finalists in both the Moby and SLJ Trailee awards and her trailer for Little Chicken's Big Day just won a Trailee. Katie presents at schools and conferences internationally and has judged the Cybils, Golden Kite, smartwriters.com, and Frontiers in Writing awards. Katie's on the advisory board for the Brooke Jackman Foundation, a literacy-based charity.
