Mad as Hell Doctors, as guests on the Public Access program, "A Growing Concern," talk about the current anemic Health Care Reform and the need for universal health careGuests are Paul Hochfeld, a 30 year Emergency Care Physician and Michael Huntington, MD, a retired radiation oncologist and co-convenor of Physicians for a National Health Program They discuss the many problems with the current Health Care Reform legislation, asserting that the current legislation will leave the insurance companies still in control, will not reduce the skyrocketing costs of health care and will do little to help the 47 million or so Americans currently without any form of health care insurance. The discussion covers many details of the Health Care industry not typically covered by corporate media In early September the Mad as Hell Doctors will be leaving the Northwest for Washington D.C. on the Mad as Hell Doctors Tour. http://www.madashelldoctors.com Besides an informative discussion of the issue this program features a power point presentation as well as three short clips from the documentary, "Health, Money and Fear," available for free.

Hood National Forest on the way to the larger pipe line passing from Canada to Mexico. The Palomar Gas Transmission pipeline would basically be a 40 mile long clear cut, at least 120 feet in width, traversing a number of water sheds and a large number of creeks, streams and rivers along the way.http://www.bark-out.org
