    Racial Crossroads

    A commentary that was supposed to be about Asher Roth but turned into an extended tangent about race in America. I had a million other things I wanted to say so I'll try and follow up soon, cuz even though I know the Asher story is old I think the underlying issues run deep. I recorded conversations with Dan Charnas and Amanda Diva that were a big part of my thought process for this one but couldn't work them into this vid.. will definitely get some of that footage up later.

    This is John Galt speaking - My videos are meant to educate, entertain and foster discussion of Ayn Rand's work and her philosophy of Objectivism. I'm 39, and a long time student of the philosophy. I'm from Dallas originally (hence the "ex" in my screen name) but I live in NY now. I'm a writer and composer. I wrote book, music and lyrics for an adaptation of "The Picture of Dorian Gray" that was premiered in CT a while back, and I just completed a 2-act farce that takes place the weekend of the Kennedy Assassination. As a composer, my vocal compositions are being performed by classical groups fairly often. I had never tried my hand at film editing before these YouTube videos. I find I enjoy the craft of it a lot. I post as often as I can so please have patience- these videos take a lot of time! Please comment and rate- that's the only value I ask in return for the work- just to know that I've engaged another's mind in appreciation of these ideas and ideals.
