    Camp Waterlogg July 4 Fundraiser

On Friday, July 4, 2014, the all new Camp Waterlogg ...

On Friday, July 4, 2014, the all new Camp Waterlogg special premieres via a Waterlogg Radio Network podcast at http://www.waterlogg.com.It has been more than ten years since Kenny Savoy first visited Camp Waterlogg, the rustic Catskills home of Joe Bevilacqua and Lorie Kellogg, the husband and wife creative duo behind The Comedy-O-Rama Hour, 13 other audio productions and 103 audio books.Together, the improvised the one hour "Fireworks at Camp Waterlogg" Special, which premiered on (Sirius) XM Radio on July 4, 2004. That first Camp Waterlogg special was a hit and has garnered 123 hours worth of Bevilacqua and Kellogg's unique brand of experimental improvisational comedy.Even though, during his 42 year career, Bevilacqua has recorded hundreds of "traditional" scripted radio dramas in quiet studios and on stage before live audience, the veteran award-winning audio producer now often chooses to record outdoors, surrounded by his chickens, hiking his own trail, by the creek with his border collie Sophie, in the middle of the woods behind the couple's Napanoch, New York home, hanging upside down wearing gravity boots!"I use a Sony IC portable audio recorder the size of my thumb that has two microphones and records 120 degrees," admits Bevilacqua he is radio theater in an entirely new way "making for a lush ultra stereo production that uses real life as it's backdrop."Joe Bev, as he is also known, performs most of the voices on The Comedy-O-Rama, with his wife essaying many others.During "A Camp Waterlogg Fourth of July Fundraiser," Sgt. Lefty (Joe Bev) mishears Ranger Joe and Ranger Lorie and thinks they might lose the camp to Uncle Goopie (in the past played by Ren & Stimpy's Bob Camp). Stinky Peter (Kenny Savoy) and Squeaky Lkie (Lorie Kellogg) help Ellis da Boatkeeper (Joe Bev), Andy (Joe Bev), Woody (Joe Bev), Elise, and Mrs. Terwilliger (Lorie Kellogg).Meanwhile, Adam Maxwell (Joe Bev) is hiding in tree trunks and under beds, attempting to allude Gary Cant and Cary Gooper, two United States Homeland Security officers, and Ranger Joe hangs upside down trying to make himself taller. This week, the first in a trilogy storyline that culminates with comedienne "The Love Goddess" Judy Tenuda guest starring. Joe Bevilacqua, who is also known as Joe Bev, performs nearly half the characters on the show, including Ellis the Boatkeeper, Sgt. Lefty, Adam Maxwell, Lil Andy, and others. His wife and creative partner Lorie B. Kellogg also performs many characters on the show, including Elise, Olive Pitts, Mrs. Cowlick, Ellis & Elise's mother, Lkie, and others. The husband and wife team record the comedy hour from their home and surrounding woods of Napanoch, NY. The show takes place at Camp Waterlogg, a fictional kids camp in the Catskills. For the trilogy, Bev and Kellogg enlisted the help of Kenny Savoy and Jim Folly, members of the Liquid Comedy troupe since 1979. For this new set of shows, the four spent one weekend improvising many hours of new material for The Comedy-O-Rama Hour.Folly plays chef Ron Drysdale, a Peters Market Grocery Clerk, Rev. Cowlick, Marcello, Ellis & Elise's father and Lil Jimmy. Savoy is Cousin Kenny, Peter Moss, and Luigi.Bev and Kellogg Skyped two scenes with Judy Tentua, one in which she gives love advise to Ellis and Elise, and the other in which Tentua sings and plays accordion at their wedding, which will be heard in the third part.Joe Bev says of his cast:"Lorie Kellogg is not only a great voice artist who can play woman, man, girls, boys, frogs, trees, chairs, or anything... she also comes up with half the funny plots we improvise!""Jim Folly is the funniest man alive! Jim has been a member of our troupe Liquid Comedy since we formed it in 1979. Jim is Don Rickles, Chico Marx and Allen Jenkins all rolled into one!""Kenny Savoy can do voices and read a script as well as any actor I know, but what makes Kenny special is is bright open upbeat personality. He lifts the energy of everyone he meets. Kenny is also a great improviser." More about Waterlogg Productions at http://www.waterlogg.com. With special guest star Philip ProctorPhilip Proctor says, ''Peter Bergman and the End of the World' is a piece I was inspired to write after losing my dear friend, collaborator and Firesign partner to leukemia in March 2012. I chose to premiere the story on Comedy-O-Rama because of my admiration for Joe and Lorie's comic consistency over the years and because I know that their audience is the perfect place to perpetuate the memory of Peter's genius and stimulate an online interest in his legacy through Radio Free Oz, The Firesign Theatre and Proctor & Bergman. I know Peter would've loved it… Thanks, J & L ~ Philip!''More about Waterlogg Productions at http://www.waterlogg.com.
