There is always someone who hates on people, and it is my opinion that anytime anyone opposes self defense is in effect sending a very bad message. The police can't protect you, your friends cannot protect you, so the only way to stop a hate crime in it's tracks is to arm yourselves.

"This is the Oakland police department. Residents, stay inside your homes. Dogs are being released. The dogs will find you. The dogs will bite you. If they find you, do not move or attempt to run or the dogs will bite you." This warning blared from an OPD helicopter in West Oakland just after 3pm today.

On Friday June 19th "bay area community groups," Codepink, Stop Mass Incarceration, Occupy SF Action Council, Anti Police-Terror Project, Jewitch Camp, the Green Party, and The World Can't Wait gathered outside the Hilton in San Francisco to protest the presence of police chiefs from around the country during San Francisco's Conference for Mayors. A video was posted to Youtube that shows a group of five officers with the Salinas Police Department violently hitting a man they have pinned to the ground during an arrest on North Main Street on June 5. Even though the man is on the ground and not moving, officers can still be seen hitting him with clubs.
