At the heart of this are reports on selected industries and regions, as well as background information on the various asset classes - ranging from stocks, through currencies, to alternative investments. France's new President, Nicolas Sarkozy, wants to push through pro-market reforms at a frantic pace, says Hervé Prettre, head of Commodities and Equities Trading Research at Credit Suisse. It notably means the end of the 35-hour week, lower taxes and fewer public sector jobs. This should boost France’s lagging competitiveness.
