TV Talent Show Winner German-Vietnamese singer Trong Hieu Nguyen took part in the TV talent show "Vietnam Idol" while on vacation - and won! Now he is hoping to jumpstart a career in both Germany and Vietnam - where the media have already dubbed him the German Hot Boy. Drone Races More and more people are getting into drone racing. Contestants fit unmanned aircraft with cameras - and watch the images beamed back through special glasses. Underwater Photographer Gaby Fey Her career began as a model. Then Gaby Fey decided to get behind the camera herself. She specializes in spectacular underwater photos for fashion, advertising and art projects-- and they're all shot in her pool near Saint-Tropez.

And a German bought a windmill and made it his home. Celebrating 50 years of the Pirelli calendar For more than 50 years, the publication of the Pirelli calendar has been a hotly anticipated event. It features scantily-clad women, shot by top photographers. The calendar is a limited edition but an anniversary volume recently went on sale. Life on the wild side Manicured gardens are becoming a thing of the past. The latest trend among modern Green Thumbs is letting things grow a little crazy! Living in a cistern Oda and Yayo Fontes des Leon have converted a former cistern into a luxury holiday home. They discovered it by chance near their house on the island. High-tech Fashion Apple Watch, google Glass...lots of companies are busy inventing wearable technology these days. That goes for fashion designers as well. For example, Borre Akkersdijk from the Netherlands, who incorporates technology into his clothing designs: like the BBSuit. It provides its wearers with WiFi reception wherever they are. Animal Photographer Tim Flach The animal inside humans, the human inside animals, and the many layers in between; this complex relationship is what award winning photographer Tim Flach of Britain attempts to explore and capture through his camera lens. His latest book "Evolution" is a collection of his photography, retracing the animal kingdom from aquatic creatures to the great apes. Slowing Down A design student from the northern German city of Bremen invented a contraption that he calls the decelerator helmet. Whoever puts it on, sees what's going on around them in slow-motion. It's meant as an art project that wants to counteract our fast-paced lifes and reflect on mankind's age-old dream of being able control the speed of time. Castles and Vinyards The Upper Middle Rhine valley in Germany has been popular with tourists since the beginning of the 19th century, with the arrival of the first steamships. Hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to the region every year to view the some 40 hilltop castles and fortresses in this region, which was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Canton of Fribourg The most wonderful aspects of the German-French Canton Fribourg in Switzerland are undoubtedly the centuries-old bridges , the water-sports center in the medieval town Estavayer-le-Lac and the famous town Gruyères, known for it's delicious cheese. Grilled Sea Bass It's a small, inconspicuous restaurant tucked into the coast - but it has been serving illustrious guests for decades, from Robert de Niro to Bono. Celebrating 80 years of reel-to-reel recorders On 16 August 1935, the AEG company launched the world's first tape recorder, the "Magnetophon K1”. The Scream by Edvard Munch Between the years 1892 and 1910 Norwegian painter Edvard Munch created four different versions of ’The Scream‘. Despite its gloomy motif the painting is one of the most reproduced art works ever. Here’s a close look at the history of this masterpiece. Black Forest Tour A visit to the southern German Black Forest. Home to the coockoo clock and the Bollenhut, the region is popular with tourists from all over the world. Reasons for its popularity: the mixture of sea, culture and lifestyle. Sticky Art You usually chew a piece of gum - and then spit it out and forget it. But that’s not the way Italian artist Maurizio Savini does it: He uses chewing gum make life-size sculptures. He’s now exhibiting them all over the world. How Hip is Berlin Still? People have been saying Berlin's time has passed for years. But the figures have been giving a completely different pictures: Berlin is more popular than ever. We take a closer look. The Mother of all Boulevards The Champs-Élysées is probably the most famous boulevard in Europe. The street attracts a lot of tourists. City guide Adrien Stalter takes us along it in his Citroën 2CV. Mountaineer Reinhold Messner opens his sixth Mountain Museum and we take a look around the northern German island of Sylt. Dogs in Art Man's best friend has been an inspiration to artists for centuries, and now a new art exhibition all about dogs has opened up in Berlin. And if your dog also happens to be an art aficionado then he or she is welcome to come along. The Messner Mountain Museum Mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner has been working on his Mountain Museum project since 2003. The sixth and last building to complete the ensemble is located in Alto Adige in South Tyrol and was designed by British star architect Zaha Hadid. London Calling The British capital is in among Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. One of the best ways to enjoy London's sights is by boat. Euromaxx took a trip down the River Thames and met up with guide book author David Fathers. Cranach Anniversary The German town of Wittenberg was the home of revered Renaissance painter Lucas Cranach the Younger. 2015 marks the 500th anniversary of his birth. To celebrate this historic event, Wittenberg is putting on a multimedia spectacle. Sunny Sylt The island of Sylt is connected to the mainland by a dam and rail service. Despite its somewhat faded jet set image the island is best known for its beautiful sunny beaches and is popular with windsurfers and nature lovers from all walks of life.
